IFS ERP INTEGRATIONS

IFS ERP SYSTEM

Increase the efficiency of your business activities

The ERP system is the center of IT solutions in the company. However, there are many specialized functionalities that are implemented in specialized IT solutions. Then there is a need for their integration. As part of the implemented solutions, L-Systems provides integration with such solutions as:

1. CAD (Computer Aided Design), CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) design systems, software for designing electrical installations and CAD project management.

For companies which need to transfer the material structure of the product from CAD / CAM design support systems to the ERP production execution system, it is common.

The most popular solutions are: Autodesk (AutoCAD, Inventor), SolidWorks, Solid Edge, NX (Siemens), CATIA, PTC Creo, E-plan Electric, Electra E8, ProfiCAD, EdrawMax.

2. Nesting systems

Solutions especially used in industries where it is necessary to optimally use material forms (sheet metal, chipboard, MDF or fabrics) so that the cuts / patterns / burnings / cuts leave as little raw material waste as possible. Such integration is also intended to improve the process of recording waste or usable clippings that can be used in the future.

Among the most common solutions are: Sigma NEST, TrueNest (Autodesk), NestFab. Optinest (Wood Designer), CutNest (MiriSys).

3. Document Circulation Systems

Registration of incoming documents (office) along with OCR options for e.g. cost invoices are often functions not available in ERP systems. Where the number of handled documents is large, specialized software in the field of document circulation will often find their application.

Popular solutions in Poland include: Primesoft, Plus Workflow (Suncode), Webcon BPS (Sagitum), Comarch BMP, OpenText.

4. Forwarding systems

It is difficult to imagine an economy without transport. The movement of people – and goods in particular – has resulted in a surge in shipping companies.

The interfaces most often expected by customers concern such companies as: Raben, Schencker, DHL, DPD, UPS, GLS, TNT, InPost, Fedex, Pocztex.

5. Integration with the machine park

The development of the Internet of Things (IoT), and in this particular case the industrial IoT (Industrial Internet of Things) and the availability of various types of controllers and PLC drivers, allow for real-time data collection and analysis (through dedicated software), so that the system user ( or other software) delivered “filtered” messages requiring action.

Whether it is data collected from CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) machines or any other devices and software combined into one common platform – their primary goal is to provide not only information about the effectiveness of asset use (OEE), but, for example, about trends in parameters that can potentially lead to a failure of a given device, so as to be able to plan a service action in advance. It is the automation of planning functions that is increasingly the goal of such integration.

The most popular drivers used for integration are drivers from Siemens (Simatic), Rockwell Automation (Allen Bradley), Mitsubishi, Omron, Schneider Electric, GeFanuc and ABB.

6. EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) messages

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI – Electronic Data Interchange) is a system that allows companies to exchange business documents (e.g. orders, invoices, shipping advice, confirmations, price lists, inventory, …) in a predefined, electronic format. Wherever the number of these documents is large enough, it is worth considering such integration. Each of the exchanged documents requires the development of an appropriate exchange message in a fixed format.

The most commonly used formats include: Edifact, iDoc, Odette, VDA, Ecod or X12 (USA) and TRADACOMS (UK).
