Comprehensive ERP Integration

An ERP system is the core of a company’s IT landscape. However, many specialized functions are often handled by dedicated software solutions. In such cases, integration becomes essential. As part of its implemented solutions, L-Systems provides integration with systems such as:

01

CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) systems, software for electrical installation design, and CAD project management tools.

For companies that need to transfer product material structures from design-support systems—such as CAD/CAM—to a production execution system like ERP, this requirement is common.

The most popular solutions in this area include: Autodesk (AutoCAD, Inventor), SolidWorks, Solid Edge, NX (Siemens), CATIA, PTC Creo, EPLAN Electric, Electra E8, ProfiCAD, and EdrawMax.

02

Nesting Systems

These solutions are particularly useful in industries where optimal use of material sheets (such as metal, particleboard, MDF, or fabrics) is essential—ensuring that cuts, patterns, or laser operations generate minimal material waste. Such integration also aims to streamline the tracking of waste or usable offcuts that can be repurposed in future production.

Commonly used nesting systems include: SigmaNEST, TrueNest (Autodesk), NestFab, OptiNest (Wood Designer), and CutNest (MiriSys).

03

Document Management Systems (DMS)

Incoming document registration (e.g., mailroom operations) along with OCR capabilities—for example, for cost invoices—are often features not available in standard ERP systems. In cases where a high volume of documents is processed, specialized document management software is frequently used.

Popular solutions in Poland include: Primesoft, Plus Workflow (Suncode), Webcon BPS (Sagitum), Comarch BMP, and OpenText.

04

Freight Forwarding Systems

It’s hard to imagine the economy without transportation. The movement of people—and especially goods—has driven the rapid growth of freight forwarding companies. The most commonly requested interfaces by clients involve carriers such as: Raben, Schenker, DHL, DPD, UPS, GLS, TNT, InPost, FedEx, and Pocztex.

To support integration and document handling within logistics processes, popular solutions in Poland include: Primesoft, Plus Workflow (Suncode), Webcon BPS (Sagitum), Comarch BMP, and OpenText.

05

Integration with the Machine Park

The development of the Internet of Things (IoT)—specifically the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)—along with the availability of various controllers and PLCs, enables real-time data collection and analysis (via dedicated software). This ensures that only relevant, “filtered” messages requiring action are delivered to the system user or other integrated applications.

Whether the data is collected from CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) machines or any other equipment and software integrated into a unified platform, the main goal is to provide not only insights into asset utilization efficiency (OEE), but also trend-based parameters that may indicate a potential failure. This allows for proactive service planning. Increasingly, the automation of planning functions is the key objective of such integrations.

The most commonly used controllers for integration include those from: Siemens (Simatic), Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley), Mitsubishi, Omron, Schneider Electric, GE Fanuc, and ABB

06

EDI Messages (Electronic Data Interchange)

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is a system that enables companies to exchange business documents—such as purchase orders, invoices, shipping notices, confirmations, price lists, and stock levels—in a predefined electronic format. Wherever the volume of such documents is high, EDI integration becomes highly beneficial. Each type of document requires the development of a corresponding exchange message in a standardized format.

The most commonly used EDI formats include:
EDIFACT, iDoc, Odette, VDA, ECOD, X12 (USA), and TRADACOMS (UK).
